On March 3rd, '07 I traded a '76 Corvette for this Chevelle. A guy I met on Team Chevelle was selling it and through the conversation, he asked if I was interested in trading my Vette for it. After some consideration I agreed and the deal was done. I had owned the Vette since '92 and it sat in the garage most of the time so I figured the Chevelle would complement my El Camino. Since I'm a hot rodder at heart, the fact that the Chevelle didn't have the original engine was ok with me.
Just to be clear, the Chevelle didn’t look like this when I got it. Sure the paint was done, but it had a little 396 backed by a weak Saginaw 4 speed, 15” Rallye wheels, which ended up being junk, no brakes or hard lines, worn out stock suspension, a peg leg 10 bolt, the electric was all screwed up, no interior, no bumpers, no exhaust, no weatherstripping. I could go on, but I think you get the picture!
This is a real 138 car but the only option it had was the SS package, but what more do you need?
Externally the body is stock with the exception of a steel cowl hood and a small but functional air dam mounted on the trunk lid.

Good blend of modern and classic taste. Retro, i guess? Anyway, beautiful damn chevelle bro!
Thanks, I'm glad you guys like the things I'm doing with this car. The roll bar should be done soon and then I can get the headliner and carpet done. I hope to have it ready to roll in the spring.
