Always wanted an LS powered F Body since they first rolled off the line.. Had a chance to buy a black WS6 in 99, but passed it up. Came across my Z28 at a mom and pop dealership on my way home from fishing in May 07. Went back the next day and had seen the sticker price of $7,000 and took her home shortly after. She had some slight scratches, dings, pitted SS wheels w/ tires that wouldn hold air, ripped drivers seat and some miles on her. Took her to the track stock and ran a 13.8. Later found that she had the stock plugs from 9yrs ago!!! Who does that? I would love to find the original owner and thank him before I bash his head in for "Hot Rod Abuse". She is now babied like she should be and is under resto and constant upgrading. She sleeps under a nice weather proof car cover away from the past basterd owner.

So the Z is in serious need of a SD tune. After header and exhaust install my LTFTs are way off and lil knock shows its ugly face everyonce and a while. The original exhaust that I fabbed had the WBO2 bung welded into it and I thought I was good to go. Not the case. The pipe was not going to be able to be used and on top of that I had to order a PCI to USB adaptor to use the wide band on my lap top. Got the new bung and the adaptor and was ready to go. Thats when my daily driver, 95 Grand Am, decided to blow its heater core. So now the Camaro is seeing wet roads and the dreaded light snow
. Super pissed about that. The car was never to see the elements. So now any nice day to fix the GA is usually a rainy day or something else comes up. The garage is full of lawn equipment and junk so its out of order for a while. I just need to get the damn GA running so I can have the bung welded into the pipe and weld the newly found pin hole exhaust leak I found at the y joint. Grr.. I have been staring at EFI Live since June waiting to do an SD tune.. Had to vent before I flipped my lid. After this it will be time for gear, converter and cam. Got have it ready by spring. I also need to go over the rest of the car with a fine foothed comb to make sure there is not anything else the previous owner neglected. I changed the plugs that should have been changed 50K ago and flushed the coolant system (was fn nasty). I am suprised this car even ran a 13.8 last summer when it was neglected this much. Some TLC and some HP should put me down the 1/4 a lil faster.
