I purchased this vehicle in Nov 2007. It is very exciting to finally have an F body of my own because I have wanted one for 6 years or so. This is my Black on Black 99 Z28 and I call her Rogue. Right now it is pretty much stock but I have lots of mods planned for the future. My ultimate goal for this car is a 400 rwhp true street car that I can drive every day to work with a nitrous kit for fun at the track.

So a couple weeks ago at the Pinks All Out qualifier at Maryland International Raceway in Maryland I broke my built 4L60E. It would seem I broke either the input sprag or the low roller assy. After breaking this trans only 8 months after purchasing it I have decided to do away with the 60E. Rogue is now getting a TH400. I went with a Performabuilt RMVB TH400 with a transbrake. The converter I chose is a Circle D 4C+ converter which should perform in the 3800-4000 rpm range. I am looking to install this hoss probably in about 2 weeks. My buddy Josh will be coming up for the install to give me a hand. I can't wait!!

So I went to the track today to finally get some new times. My friends and I went to VMP in Dinwiddie, VA. The day did not start super stellar since it was crowded and every 10 minutes another car broke and shut the track down for 30 min. My first pass I decided to do on motor to see what she would do. I was hoping for 12.3 and thats what I got, a 12.37. I was pretty happy with this but I really wanted a nitrous pass. On the next pass I decided to try the juice. I have the 150 shot jets in and went for it. I left off idle instead of stalling it up and the spray came on at 3000 rpm. I cut a 1.57 60' and drove to the tune of 11.11 at 120.38! I was stoked by this. I was hoping for 11.2 on the spray and I actually went 11.11. You can't beat that with a stick. I decided to go for a 3rd and final pass and thought a 10.9 was attainable. I lowered the nitrous window down a bit to 2800 rpm and I left the line from 2000 rpm instead of idle. The car launched like a monster and felt amazaing, however, about 5 feet off the line the rear end let go. I feels like I broke some teeth off the ring gear. It was time for a 9 inch anyway so that will be my next upgrade. I will be going with a Midwest fab 9" and I won't look back. The 10's are knocking at my door. Here I come.

The Racetronix Fuel Pump and Harness upgrades are complete. The job really was not that bad at all. I am now running a very healthy 62 psi of fuel pressure. I for sure feel much better now about spraying the beast without remorse. Some track time coming soon and some numbers on the spray no doubt.

Whats your job on Langley? I'm Personnel. Yeah I have a lot of F-body friends in the local Hampton Roads area, Bass Pro is one place they usually hang on the weekends.

Nice ride maybe I'll see ya around Hampton in January...sadly the car will not be with me as I am stationed in Alabama at Maxwell AFB. We're hoping to get back to Hampton next fall.
Very nice!!!
Great looking car. 15 stars. Go for the gusto.
12.7!?!?!?!? Gawd dayum good numbers for such minimal mods. Get some long tubes and a cam in that thing and let her breathe deep, I'll be you can get into the 11s (if you can hook).
400rwhp in a stalled auto = mid to low 11s with a good 60'
very nice Z, let's the modding begin!! 400rwhp its my goal too for now, hopefully by summer i reach them, and by the end of this year with a TT +600rwhp for a DD....
