I bought this camaro from a friend of mine Saturday- May 24th, 2008 after the motor blew up due to nitrous.
I purchased this car with the intentions of putting it back together with an LS1 and basic bolt-ons.
Since then I have put an LS1 in the car and had it running for just over a month and I spun a rod bearing while tuning it for the 3.42 rearend swap.
So, I once again had to tear it back down.
-But only this time, I saved money by "Buying and Selling" about 12 cars over the past winter and I installed an LS2 403 Stroker with All the goodies.
Then I got it tuned and had it running for 3 weeks and Smoked the Transmission during a WOT Pull on a back road!
So I pulled the Transmission out Again, and had a Stage 3 Transmission Built for it .
Now the car is back together and running again and I Finally got it to the track and my first pass was 11.220 @ 123.32 mph with me leaving at idle and at 30% throttle till 2nd gear. Then I mashed the gas in 2nd gear and let it rip!
My 2nd pass I stalled it up to 2200 rpm and then let it rip at half throttle, spun, let up, spun again, let up and it finally hooked so I mashed it and ran 11.83 @ 122.68 mph. Well Then I took the car to Muncie on Sept. 4th and managed to run a 10.99 @ 125.61 mph with a 1.659 60'.
Well I'll keep the page updated, and hoping for LOW 10's in the near future!
Wish Me Luck! and Rate my Page!
Thanks

Ok well today was the RPM Transmission Track Day at Muncie Dragway and I managed to run a 10.993 @ 125.61 mph. My 60' was 1.659.
It was my last pass of the day and after I ran it I packed up and went home LOL.
I drove the car 1 hour and 20 minutes there, ran 10.99 and drove 1 hour and 20 minutes back home with no issues.
Thank God!
Well I'm done for the summer and now I'm going back into hibernation from the dragstrip.
Can't wait til next season when I have my 9 Inch rearend and an 8 point cage and MAYBE some juice!

I just wanted to post an entry and let everyone know that I went to the track and Managed to click off an 11.22 @ 123mph! Not to mention I left easy and didn't mash it until 2nd gear.
My 2nd run was 11.83 @ 122 mph leaving at 2200 rpm... The car spun, I lifted, Hit it again, It spun, I lifted, Then hit it again and it hooked and booked.
So after lifting twice to get it to hook, I decided not to make any more passes. The track was getting worse and I didn't want to press my luck or beat on the car too much!
I'll post some more track times as I get them!

Ok so I got the car tuned and got it on the road Finally! And guess what, 3 WEEKS Later the transmission went (Boom)
Yeah thats right It took 3 weeks to trash a perfectly good Transmission.
Oh-Well I figured it was going to go, but just not this soon. Anyways I have a real good Friend who has been building Transmissions for over 12 years and he just built me a 4L60E Transmission with just about Every Upgraded Part you can think of other than a Hardened Output Shaft and a TransBrake. I think it should hold up to the abuse I give it for a while. LOL
If not; He gave me a 12 month or 12,000 Mile warranty with it too.
I purchased a few other parts to go along with the build as well. I bought a Derale Deep Trans. Pan, Cyberdyne Transmission Temp. Gauge, and a TCI 29.1 Spec Flexplate and a Energy Suspension Trans. Mount as well.
Should be back on the road in No time. Wish me luck. I'm hoping to have track times, Videos, and dyno numbers within the next few months, so stay tuned to my updates...
