About this Previous Vehicle:
This was my 96 Z28. It was a problem child, I wound up re-building the transmission, and replacing the motor at 80,000 miles and had a hell of a time getting the CHECK ENGINE light to stay off. Had the opportunity to get rid of it and took it, traded it in on an '06 GOAT
The only thing I miss about the Z is the T-Tops.
Factory Options:
Z28 package, everything but leather.
Exterior Modifications:
New paint with stripes.
Cat-back exhaust into a 40 series Flowmaster muffler with stainless tips.
Interior Modifications:
Swapped the factory stereo for an Alpine aftermarket one.
Performance:
Not enough cash, the car had sucked the wallet dry with all the other problems.
Suspension/Chassis:
Had new shocks and struts from KYB and Eibach 1" drop springs but didn't get to put them on before I got rid of the car.
Drivetrain:
Stock.
Electronics:
Alpine CD player, thats all.

awww that sucks you had to sell it...my z gives me problems too...nothin that bad, but at least you knew when to stop dumping the funds into it...i however, dont!!!

And the 4th gen F-bodies are definately known for being promblematic, which ultimately led to their demise.
