This is my 1991 Camaro Z28 convertible. I bought it in March of 2007 for $3500. It has approx. 180,000 miles on. She runs real good and drives real good too. She was very well cared for. Pretty much stock, except for a 4th gen Camaro rear end with 3.73 gears and posi, with disc brakes. So far, I've replaced the water pump, thermostat, and coolant, fixed the tonneu cover power release, replaced the hood and trunk support struts, fixed the cruise control, added rear speakers, replaced the shifter plate, and replaced the power mirror switch. That may seem like a lot of stuff but most of it was very easy to fix. For example, all I needed was a cruise control module at the junkyard to fix the cruise, and it only cost me $5. I don't even have $200 into repairs on this thing yet.
Future plans call to replace the window switches (the yellow print is gone), swap the rear for a 9-bolt 3.42 posi, replace the fan switch with a lower temp one, and find the stupid trim that goes on top of the quarter panel where the front seat belt comes out on each side. IF ANYONE HAS THESE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL BUY THEM!!!
I just installed a Delco-Bose stereo system. The front speakers sound great! The system came out of a 1986 Camaro, and I was glad to see the front speakers worked. Unfortunately, one of the rear amps and speaker is shot, but the other appears to be good. I'll get that fixed and it'll be great when done!
Well that's all I got about the car that I can think of. Let me know what ya think!
Z28 performance package
none
Has 4th gen 30th anniversary seats.
I had the throttle body off when I did the thermostat swap and it looks like it was ported a little. Also added a 165* thermostat.
KYB struts up front, and I think Monroe out back. They were already on the car. Also has Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires.
Has 4th-gen rear with 3.73 posi that the previous owner installed.
Delco-Bose factory sound system.
