TOOL AEnima
Oct 10
Well I made another trip to the track tonight and got to make 5 runs.
1st 12.39 @ 117.6mph on a 2.04 60'
2nd 12.31 @ 118.7mph on a 2.09 60'
3rd 12.14 @ 118.5mph on a 1.97 60'
4th 12.17 @ 119.2mph on a 2.03 60'
and last but not least......
5th 11.95 @ 119.1mph on a 1.86 60'
All runs were made with 28psi with my 275/40 17" Nitto DRs
The last run I finally found the way to leave the line with this new setup. I can't wait to get the 60's down into the 1.7's and hit the car with a nice size shot of N20
The temp on the 5th run was 72 degrees, 88 percent humidity, 29.9x barametric pressure.... not sure what the DA was

Here is a break down of my runs tonight...
1st run R/T .300....60' 2.02....12.33 @ 117.3
tires @ 30psi slipped the clutch @ 3000rpm spun
2nd run R/T .104....60' 1.92....12.13 @ 118.3
tires @ 28psi slipped the clutch @ 3000rpm bogged
And since I had the shifting issue last track outing, I was taking it easy between the gears, for me that is. I think my shifter problem is fixed though. Next time out I will try shifting at my regular speed and see what happens.
Oddly enough, I am very happy with the results this early into the fall season. I think some solid 11's N/A will come soon with a little more practice (been away from the track for over a year & a half)

Made my first trip to the track with the new H/C setup to make some N/A passes
1st run 12.40 @ 116.8 on a 2.08 60' bogged of the line slipping the clutch at 2200rpm ......... tire pressure was 20psi
2nd run 12.87 @ 112.62 on a 1.92 60' spun a good bit slipping the clutch at 3000rpm and either missed 2nd or to much heat in clutch from the slip??? .......... tire pressure was 20psi
3rd run 12.57 @ 115.3 on a 2.04 60' bogged of the line slipping the clutch at 2600rpm and had a tough time going into second but went in ......... tire pressure was 16psi
I think my lou's short stick has slipped cause the shifter is hitting the console going into 2nd and 4th which could have been the trouble I was having going into 2nd on the 2nd and 3rd runs.
I think my next trip will be on a TNT Sunday so I can make more than 3 runs..... which took about 4hrs tonight!
