About this Current Vehicle:

Just got this in August '08. A buddy of mine bought the car as a roller. He found a motor and trans. I ended up helping him put it together and buying it from him. Can't say it's a bad thing knowing what's been done to it. Now it's recently received a bigger cam and a good tune from FLP. It's also recently been to Road America which I was very surprised at how hard you can push these cars with stock suspension!

New Pics Uploaded Plus Track Times

Finally took some new pics the other day. Don't mind the bugs, I didn't bring anything with me to clean them off. Some things changed after I hit a deer in March. Different grill and the hood grill was painted silver. I also changed out the clear corners for clear black corners and I like the look. My clear corners were absolutely gnarly looking, especially the driver side one. It was all burnt and shit from the bulb. Oh well, point it, I cleaned it up and took pics and I LOVE the way it looks now.

I also did take it to the drag strip after the cam and while I'm not disappointed in it, I'm not thrilled either. The best I could muster out of 3 runs was a wimpy 13.30@109. But, I'm running a stock 10 bolt and street tires. I'm not going to bolt slicks up because I don't feel like spending $2,500 on a 9 inch or S60 because this car isn't a drag car. I also can't launch it in the powerband because of lack of traction. So, it's a complete dog out of the hole, I'm also gonna try shifting it to 4th the next time I go. I crossed the traps at 6,500 in 3rd(my peak hp) and figured that would be best, but the car seems to haul the mail in 4th when I'm on the street. So, I'm gonna try shifting closer to stock next time I go.

For comparison with just the headers and K&N and a slight tune it did 13.56@106 last year. Of course, I drove it harder last year too. I was kinda granny shifting it because I don't feel like breaking shit as I said earlier. It's easily a low 12 second car though, I just gotta re-attach my testicles and drive the hell out of it!

It's finally tuned!

It finally got tuned on April 10th at FLP in Naperville. They did a fantastic job and I'd recommend them to anyone. I uploaded the dyno sheet of its best pull. 387hp/374tq. I'm very happy with the car and it drives damn near like stock.

More Power!

Just installed a custom grind cam over the weekend. It was a fun journey and it sounds mean as can be.

Obviously a new cam was installed along with valve springs, locks, retainers. Also installed a Melling high performance oil pump, heavy duty single roller timing chain. Also put a new water pump on for preventative maintenance and a 160 degree thermostat.

I'd have power numbers on the 3rd if I had not hit a deer with the car the day before we did the cam swap. So, I will have power numbers and video of some dyno pulls after the 10th because as of now it sits in the body shop.
