This automobile is a collectors dream and the ultimate for a Dale Earnhardt Collector and represents one of the rarest, if not the most unique 1996 SLP Camaro Z28 SS and 4th Generation Camaro in existence.


You are looking at a “like new” one owner 1996 Camaro Z28 SS SLP #0255 with 808 original miles. Only 2410 1996 Camaro Z28 SS’s were built by SLP Engineering for Chevrolet. This extraordinary automobile is one of the rarest of the 2410 since it is 1 of only 3 1996 Camaro Z28 SS's that will ever be available in the marketplace that was further modified by Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet Inc, Newton NC for the 1996 Dale Earnhardt Signature Series.

This car is in like new condition and always stored correctly. Outer body and undercarriage are like new ( maybe a little storage dust underneath !) Paint is in factory condition. Interior is perfect, just like it came in 1996. SLP Z28 car cover has never been used and still in the original silver storage bag. Never driven in the rain and we are a non smoking family.

Location History:

Delivered to our door step in Ft Lauderdale Florida in May 1996 by Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet Inc., the vehicle was registered with it's first special "1 of 3" Florida plate. The vehicle was relocated by professional enclosed transport to our North Carolina home in 1997 where it continued to be registered with a special "1 of 3" NC license plate and finally was transported again to our current home in Maryland in 2000.

The only flaw on the vehicle is a crack in the lower front spoiler obtained in 2000 when the vehicle was being unloaded from the enclosed transporter. Although easily repaired, we have preferred to leave it alone for inspection rather than try to describe or conceal a minor fiberglass body repair. Email us and we will send a photo.

Documentation:

Manifest sheet ( factory build sheet for you early Camaro/Corvette collectors),window sticker, shipping documents, Certificate of Manufacturers Origin - Title, factory owner’s manual and other miscellaneous paperwork - emmission tests, registration cards, correspondence from Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet Inc. etc. are included with the car to provide all the paperwork that will add to the value as the vehicle grows in value over the years.

Mileage History:

The 808 miles were originated over a 12 year period and most were logged in obtaining state safety inspections and state emmissions tests for licensing necessary to maintain insurance on the vehicle. Maybe a car show thrown in once or twice. The vehicle received a full Maryland state inspection on May 24,2002 , (mileage in 505 -mileage out 509) and has been registered in Maryland ever since and is scheduled for it's next Maryland emmissions test no later than 10/08/08, which if not sold and delivered by then, will result in an additional 15 miles on the odometer.
