This is my 1997 Camaro RS 3800 V6. It is actually my second Camaro, I had anohter 97 and sold it to get this one. This car has been a project and a half from the start. Here is what was either broken, missing or needed fixed when I bought it:
-Whole passenger side cracking/peeling paint
-CD player didnt work
-Wrecked front end
-Keyless entry/alarm didnt work
-Interior was disgusting
-Wheels nearly ruined from caked brake dust
-Exhaust was shot
-Stock plugs with 48,000 miles on them
-Driver/passenger door lock buttons broke
-Left turn signal didnt work
All that has been fixed or replaced. I did all the work myself, even the paint and body work.
My 1/4 mile goal is high 11's - mid 12's on 12 psi of boost, 50 shot of nitrous and drag radials.
Jun 09
Same setup = 12 psi and 2 separate 50 shots of nitrous.
Best run of the night:
60'...1.80 <---new PB
1/8...7.93<---new PB
mph...86.87
Second best run:
60'...1.88
1/8...8.055
mph...86.53
I pulled a few other 1.9 60's as well, but as soon as the second stage hit...blew a clamp...shitty run.
Weather was not favorable at all. It was low 80's all night with 95% humidity...turbo does not like that.
We have some more tuning to do as well. The tune right now is from January when it was cold and dry as hell so it was running rich all night, but we couldnt get a good tune to look at because the car kept breaking (blowing off intercooler clamps).
I was happy to 7.9, but I'd like to do it a few more times.

Today I installed my brand new Fuddle stall converter. Its a 3200 rpm with a 2.0 STR. The boost comes on waaaaaay faster than before! This car a blast to drive now. I still have to install a tranny cooler though.
New track times coming soon...
Dec 16
This time it was dual staged. I hooked up the 50 dry shot just for the launch and armed the 50 wet shot after the 60'...worked like a champ. We also put 130# valve springs in it. The springs made a very noticeable difference too. Boost was set at 11 psi. I would have run 12-13, but my injectors wouldnt handle it.
Best 4 runs:
60'...1.91
330'...5.40
1/8...8.18
mph...88.08
60'...2.03 (spun)
330'...5.33
1/8...8.09
mph...88.56
60'...1.92
330'...5.29
1/8...8.05
mph...88.56
60'...1.92
330'...5.24
1/8...8.01
mph...88.76
12's in the 1/4 are a very real goal now...
