About this Previous Vehicle:

History and Comments:

Well ever since I have owned my first Camaro, the '92 RS Hard top, I had always wished for a convertible of this model. Well, in late August of '05, I was lucky enough to buy this car. Here's how I did it. I had bought my friend Melissa's '91 from her, for $500.00 with a spun Main Bearing. So, I had to fix it. As I was fixing it my buddy Josh, needed a car, and wanted to buy the 91 i was rebuilding. So I sold the old green '91 to him for $3000.00 in order to buy this '89 that a friend of mine named Joey had and was thinking of selling. Well alls well that ends well, as I got the car from Joey, and voila! I have my Convertible!!!!

I've wanted a third-gen Camaro convertible so long I don't know what to do now I have one. Its like I've accomplished a dream, and now its over I just don't know what to do!

So heres the info about the car :

The car is an 89 RS Camaro FE1 / LO3/A4 setup. It is Black on black on black. It is all origional. Even still had the factory emmissions. It drives wonderfully well, considering it is 18 years old now.

I removed the RS Grille, I don't like the way they look versus the Z/28 Style grille plus it was all cracked up.

I Installed a '91-'92 Z/28 Grille in place of the RS Grille.

I also Installed Aftermarket Fog Lights in the factory location.

Touched up the paint on the front bumper, and the back bumper, and touched up the paint on the tonneau. (while this is not perfect it was an improvement to its condition)

I have also replaced all head lights with Silvania Silverstar Lamps. VERY Bright.
I've also replaced the stock '89 RS tail lights with '91-'92 RS tail lights. These are also known as IROC tail lights I belive.

Lastly, I have installed an Undercar LED/NEON setup. It is made by Optix which I belive to be made by Street Glow. I got it as an experiment, to see how they look. I am quiet surprised with the results. The LED's are great, many colors, many designs.. Love them! I would recommend them to anyone!

For the sterering wheel I added A Grant GT style wheel.

I added An Autometer Pro-Comp 5" Tachometer, due to the fact the factory one is off. I understand this to be a common problem in the Camaro's of the Third Generation.

As you can see I need to replace the seat cover. I dont like the Wool look. other than that the seats are in great shape. The driver seat as usual is the only one that is damaged.

Things that I have done since these photos are :

Replaced the drivers seat cover with black bow tie Chevrolet ones for both front seats.

I've added a couple of other things to the Interior since then as well. Started working on the Guages, steering wheel, floor mats, etc.

For the sterering wheel I added A Grant GT style wheel.

I added An Autometer Pro-Comp 5" Tachometer, due to the fact the factory one is off. I understand this to be a common problem in the Camaros of the Third Generation.

If you notice the little rectangle on the left side of the bottom of the dash board, it is my OPTIX undercar LED light Kit that I installed. Its pretty neat, it does all sorts of colors and patterns, much more versitile than standard NEON.

I had put one of my aftermarket radios in it, but someone was kind enough to cut my top and steal the radio out of the car. So I don't have it anymore and now my most major need is a new top. Thank God for Black Duct Tape.

As for engine mods, well the first thing I did was De-Smog the car. That thing is just a power hog. Then I put a K&N Filter on a chrome element housing on it. I also put a chrome breather on her too. Then I added a Red-Top optima Battery, and we're ready to go now!

On July 17, 2007, I sold this car. A listing on Craigslist.com that I had posted is what was able to sell the car for me. I will miss my convertible something bad, but overall , until the next project comes my way, ill sit tight. It was fun while it lasted.
