I purchased this car from a couple I knew at church. They had bought this car when I was in 6th grade, and I always told them I wanted to buy it from them. I hoped they would sell it to me when I was in high school, instead I got the call 20 years later.
I will be restoring my 69 Camaro RS , over the next year or so. Going resto-mod, new suspension, w/ 355 SBC. I've waited almost 20 years for this (paying for 2 kids college and daughters wedding). I've purchased the sheet metal I need, pulled the motor and trans. and interior, now I'm ready to lift it on my rotisserie and start the bodywork.
RS package, AC
Integrated spoiler, smoothed cowl panel, two tone paint, Marina Blue with P02 pearl, and black. 15 x 8 rally wheels w/ BF Goodrich radials.
New Vintage Air System.
N/A
Guldstrand mod, Eibach 2" lowered front springs, stock control arms w/ Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings. Hotchkis 2" drop multi-leaf rear springs & KYB shocks all around. DSE subframe connectors tie it together.
355 cid. 2.02 aluminum Trick-Flow heads, with Quick Fuel Super Street 750 on a Edelbrock performer manifold. Borg Warner WC T-5 trans.
New Autowire wiring harness.
Wet sand and buff & starting to put it back together. Install DSE electric headlight kit.

Ooops, I guess my previous comment was too long as it cut me off. I just went on to say that it was also a '69 Camaro RS owned by my brother-in-law that turned me into a "Car Guy". You've done a great job so far, keep it up!!!
I love hearing about storys like yours. It really goes to show just how much you admired this car, and to now finally own and rebuilt it to your liking is so cool. It actually hits home for me in that the very car that changed my life and truly turned me
Wow what a build. When I was in high school 1st gen Camaros were about th coolest cars you could own, One of the teachers had a 69 Z28. Looking forward too seeing the finished pics. Thanks for the comments.
