Shannon passed away on the 6th of August, 2009. She had advanced pancreatic cancer. I miss her, and I will eventually finish her car when i can afford it.
We bought this reasonable car a few years ago. Nothing special, decent price. It was originally a 6cyl/auto, but had been converted to a 350 / four speed years ago.
In a 3 month spurt of activity, we added an LS1/T56 out of a 2002 WS6 trans am. This was a great project. It sounds great, drives nice, gets 27mpg and seems to be pretty solid.
The car is going to be Marina Blue with a white stripe and white interior whenever we can come up with the $20K it will cost to do it right.

Wow, time flies! This winter project was a head and cam swap with the goal of 400+rwhp. With Patriot 59cc heads, and a Vengeance VRX3, we are hoping for power, reliability, and to still exceed 23mpg.

The typical LSx cam swap sewing machine noise cropped up. We re-measured and determined that we should run a shorter pushrod. Went down to 7.300 and it really quieted it down. Now just need some warm days so we can get the tuning finished!

Tonight she was tuned and tweaked and is running strong. Took a few hours and a few miles with the wideband to get it all right, but the tuner is happy, and so are we. Dyno day is the 2cd....

No leaks, no drama, no issues. Pre-lubed the engine, installed the plugs and wires, ran the fuel pump a few times and bled the line, got our 58psi, and fired it up. The started didn't even spin it twice. It sounds MEAN and yet subtle. Got a guy coming to do a little tuning work, but we got it together! The Vengeance VRX3 definately meets our sound goals, lets see how we do on the dyno!
Original options unkown. Car has buckets, and we added a console with gauges. We also upgraded to the full deluxe seatbelts for safety. We added tilt column, power disc brakes, quick ratio steering gear, and a have modernized the suspension.
We have gone back to a factory SS hood which looks much nicer than the cowl hood. Added the RS backup lights, and got the hideaway headlights working. Added a stainless fuel tank. Changed over to a modern wiper system, with variable speed delay, and an external pump. We have added the wheelwell mouldings, and 15" rallye wheels.
Added the console and full gauges, including a 6000 rpm redline tach. The car originaly had a marina blue interior and was poorly changed to black in the past. We are going to completely change it over to a parchment deluxe interior evantually, but for now we re-covered the front seats and added new foam.
2002 LS1 with LS6 block and intake, Ported 243's at 59cc, VRX3 cam. T56 6speed trans, 3.73 Posi rear. On a Mustang dyno she hit 348 rwhp and 335 rwtq.
Speedtech tubular uppers with corrected suspension geometry. Full poly treatment. 11/16 front sway bar. Mono-leaf rear with slapper bars and subframe connectors. All new steering system.
2002 LS1 T56 6speed trans, 3.73 Posi 8.5inch rear.
Its from 1967, not much in the way of electronics. Changed the whole headlight system (including doors) over to a new relay system. Added all the electronics to run the fuel injected motor, including the fans. Added a more modern stereo system. Dakota Digital Tach adapter, and Cable-X speedo adapter. Added XM.
Interior change to Parchment Deluxe. Exterior Color change to marina Blue.

Things are hectic like always. Wanted to upgrade the trans and the rear-end before the WOW show in Jan, but with X-Mas, we ran out of time. That means working in February, not always fun in MN. The trans needs some updates for future power plans, and t
