Yet another "scary" repair conquered!

You know, when we start wrenching on cars as grease covered infants, there are many things we are comfortable with trying, and others that scare the bejeezus out of us.

Those to me are/were: Auto Transmission Repair, Rear End Repair, Exhaust, Wiring

Wiring, well I became an electrician so that fear went fairly quickly. In fact, one of my biggest victories was bypassing/modding the airbag coil to make my horn work. That leaves the other three right? Rear end repair died sometime after wiring. While I can't seem to shim one properly one out of 3 times.. I get by. Exhaust is the one I'm working on now. All the measuring, bending, cutting, design and such I'd lumped onto more experienced friends that owed me various favors.

Until recently, that is. I've been working on going to a full 3" exhaust (making my own designs for brackets and pipes) and it's not scary at all. Even better that I don't have to pay, bribe, or even guilt anyone into it.

Auto Tranny work, and rebuilding them.. well give me a while, because I still get night terrors at the thought of digging into them. I do a mean fluid change though.

Dec 15

Been a While!

Well, finally new pics added. Shortly after these long overdue pics happened, some asshat blew a tire on his rice-mobile and his beauty ring flew at me, and messed up the nose when it hit. So, I filled all the grille holes in. (had been wanting to do it for a while anyway) So fate? Who knows, but blah blah new wheels and tires are shown now.

I dropped the rear an inch, ( !isolators ) so the height is the same in front and rear. I might go lower this winter, but I'm not sure; as some days I like the gap, some days I don't.

Even more mods and pics coming this spring....

Fuel... yeheahhh!

Car is down at the moment. Pulled the fuel rail today, searching for my cold start gremlin. I'm going to change the FPR, when time/money allows. If it's the pump, then in the garage till next season she'll stay.

I'm sorry/you're welcome about the Metallica reference.

Didn't know you had an FQuick page, you finally took some half-decent pics of those new wheels! WTF had to find a link from EOCF though of all places.
