I bought this car in april of 2007 for 450 bucks. pretty good price for a rust free roller. It's not an original Z28, it was originally an RS, but at this point that doesnt really matter. My original plan was to build up a vortec headed roller cam 355 backed by a worked 2004-R. That plan has since been scraped. Now I have a 96 LT1 motor that I'll be dropping in. behind that, a T56 out of a 94 Z28. the T56 has been rebuilt with carbon blocker rings, steel shift forks and billet keys. the transformation will begin in the spring of 2008.
not many factory options left except the rear spoiler.
Fiberglass cowl hood. Fiberglass trunk lid. 17x9 front rims with 255/40R17's. 17x11 rear rims with 315/35R17's.
one of the previous owners put front seats out of a monte carlo in. thats about it.
it sits in my driveway and hardly ever moves.
old and original. will be replaced with many aftermarket pieces. I'm leaning towards the Hotchkis TVS setup. all the steering linkage will be replaced. I'm looking to get an IROC or WS6 third gen steering box for it. I'm also going to be doing the 1LE front brake upgrade. Sometime down the line I'll swap the rear drum brakes for discs.
none at the moment except for the 8.5 ten bolt out back. I am going to drop an LT1 out of a 96 Z28 into the car. thats going to be sending power through a rebuilt T56. I havent decided on a clutch yet. I'll probably just use the one that came with the trans for now. I'm probably going to use a ford motorsports aluminum driveshaft as I have heard it is the correct length for the conversion. plus, its 3.5 inches in diameter.
none. doesnt even have a radio in it.
