About this Current Vehicle:

This is my 98 ZR2 Blazer a.k.a. "the blazeturd". Its my beater and I've owned it for about two years. Currently has 117k on the clock and does a good job of getting me around town and up and down the rocky mountains. I bought it with the body lift installed, but everything else was my addition.

I was already had an S-series tendancy so I picked this up when I needed a winter vehicle because I was familiar with the platform and had some leftovers that would transfer to it. I had also wanted a 4x4 but never had the necessity or the means to get one so I wanted one that was pretty capable from the factory.

I did a few mods right off the bat... stereo (transferred), hood (transferred), some paint work, wheels and just drove it for a while. Then it got broken into and the stereo was stolen. I figured at that time I might as well paint the whole thing since it was gathering quite a collection of trail damage in addition to the thiefs prying both doors open ($2200 in damage). I changed it to "sunset orange metallic".

It does great offroad for such a mild rig, and beleive me I've wheeled the crap out of this thing and it keeps going. 98 was also the last year for full aluminum skids, which come in handy very often on the rocky terrain around here.

I did all the work myself, including paint.
