About this Previous Vehicle:

This was an all family owned car. My great uncle James bought a brand new GN back in '86. About a year later, he had taken it in to a local shop to get some work done. As the story goes, a couple of asshole mechanics took it for a joyride after hours and ended up running it into a lake. They tried to fix it, but of course, the water damage was too severe. It turned out better for uncle James though because they ended up having to buy him a brand new '87 model GN. This one was even faster because it came with a factory intercooler. When uncle James died back in 2000, the car was given to my uncle Jeff by my great grandmother. Throughout high school, I helped him work on and build this car into a real show stopper. We did tons of mods to the car and babied it to the extreme. Back in '01 it recieved a brand new $6k total strip down paint job. Its best time on the track was a 12.68, but that was before we really got into building up the motor. The car never saw the track again unfortunately after we completely rebuilt the motor with new internals, higher flowing heads, a bigger cam, and a bigger turbo. Because of the economy and the lack of time to maintain the car, my uncle Jeff sadly had to sell the car during the summer of 2008. I think it got a good home though from a buyer from Michigan on the turbobuick.com forum. Maybe I'll track it down and buy it back someday, who knows.
