I ended up driving this Jeep a lot when I was in high school even though it didn't have air conditioning 99% of the time I had it...it was a great fulltime 4wd car though and took a beating and kept on going on or off road.

Sadly after having the transfer case rebuilt and the AC fixed I encountered a slew of overheating problems with it...I guess the AC was a bit much fo the cooling system to handle. So, in the Kroger parking lot in Covington, Georgia, on the hottest day of 1999, I walked out to the car with a cart full of groceries only to find that the engine wouldn't turn over and I was SOL for getting home

After the engine siezed she sat in the barn for a year or two until one day it was decided that there was just to much rust for any sort of restoration to be possible, let alone affordable. So with that we trailered the trusty old 1978 off to the scrap yard and never say her again
