Interior is pretty much 90% identical to the charger and its very boring.....but the outside is quite nice. They did a good job. 40k after tax and such....dam i can imagine after dealer mark ups. What other colors are offered for 08?
only thing I'm diggin is the rear end, too bad I won't be seein much of that when these hit the roads
(for all the haters, the above is A JOKE)
They ruined it.. nice work dodge, what a car with great potential. the interior is just like your average dodge avenger, or sebring. cheap interior plastic, garbage gauges... bleh.. for 40 grand? id rather buy a used c6
I dont think the interior looks that bad.. very simple. nice nave with stitched leather. Looks better that the new camaro interior IMO especially those hideous camaro gauges.
Sheesh... $40,000... WAY overpriced. If I were in the market for a new sports car I would buy a new Mustang GT for $10,000 cheaper or wait for the new Camaro.
the interior and gauges look better than the new camaro interior. still too much money IMO
only thing that car has going for it is that in making room for those huge ass intake runners, the designers have cleared the path for a monster screw blower to sit there
I'm really disappointed that the interior is bleh. Especially that the center console doesn't match the one I have seen in pictures.
I must say I like the looks of the production challenger over the production camaro. Its mostly because of the little details.
Pros over production camaro:
1. Mirrors - The dodge viper style mirrors look better than the camaro production mirrors
2. Door Handles - The production camaro door handles look just like every other door handles on 2006+ cars. The Challenger door handle looks like its from the 90s but it looks smoother and blends in better.
3. Headlights - I have no clue why the concept camaro headlight design didn't stay. But I do like challenger headlights much better than the production camaro headlights. Concept camaro headlights, different story.
4. Big things - Better hood design, better front bumper, better rear bumper.
Cons -
1. Interior but the production camaro interior probably won't be too impressive as well
2. 20" rims - Good for looks, bad for acceleration and braking. This can be easily fixed though.
3. Dodge engine and transmission. I'm just not a fan of anything but chevy engines. The aftermarket and knowledge behind LSX engines is much better. The dodge engine might be alright though.
Indifferent
1. The car reminds me of a thirdgen formula, it just looks like its missing ground effects. Good that it looks like an old car. I don't know, could go either way.
Question
-Do the rear side windows roll down or do they just stay stationary like the production camaro?
