PEOPLE WHO DONT WEAR SEAT BEALTS ARE RETARDED. ITS BASIC KNOWLEDGE, YOU WEAR IT OR DIE. PERIOD.
it saved my life when some dunbass blue a stop sign.. how hard is it to strap it on when u get in......its there for a reason..just wear it
Survival of the fittest. Let the dumbasses who don't wear 'em die off!
I think that it should be personal choice weather or not to wear a seat belt if you are over a certain age say like 21.Its just not right that most states make you wear one or take the chance of getting a ticket.Ive been driving for 27 years and I personally am against wearing seatbelts.
A seatbelt saved my life on more than one occasion and I have not yet seen an traffic crash scene where the seatbelt killed the person...
And to States making you wear it, its no different than the States making you go a certain or making you stop at a stop light/sign.... its all about safety.
Remember, driving is NOT a right and is a privilege.
wow, I have to edit my on crappy tying.... it should be "a" traffic crash and not "an".
and "speed" should be after certain, sorry!
That really ticks me off that the statistic (of course, we're the stupid ones) reflects my age group...but its true. I never get in the car w/o my seatbelt- in fact I catch myself putting it on just to move the cars...its just instinct.
However, some of my friends are not so smart...this story however is kind of funny-
friend- *sits in my car, does not put on seat belt*
me- "Retard, put on the seat belt"
friend- "why? seat belts are lame and stupid."
me- "Trust me...you'll want it."
needless to say, after I did a nice 1st gear pull (i got 4.10's
) he just sat back, put on the belt and said while reaching for the nearest thing to hold on to, ".....christ Jon...."
owned.
Hey man to each his own.Ive been in a few accidents none which have been my fault.Worst one was getting hit& run and spun around crossing an intersection in my 86 Iroc by a mid 70`s caprice. He was flying & totalled my car.I still dont believe in wearing a seat belt when I drive and I dont think I ever will. They are very restricting and unconfortable. This is just my personal belief.
Americanmuscle! omg thats great! I wont even turn the ignition till my grandpa puts his on. on a more serious note:
You never know what will happen, expecially in high school. The kid that sat next to me was killed in a wreck. granted its true I never liked him, he did drugs, he drank, but he was bright and had potental. One night, he left the house, (he had been drinking earlier, and was taking sleeping pills) to bring gas to a freind stranded in the middle of nowhere. He wasnt in his right mind enough to put on a seat belt. He was speeding mildly, nothing exotic and didnt make a turn. He hit a tree and rolled the car, he was thrown out of the car and the car roled ontop of him and he was thrown back into the car. had he simply worn his seatbelt he would have almost certainly survived, he would have stayed in the car. He would have walked away with bruises and possibly a broken bone. wear your seat belt, make everyone else in your car wear one, theres no need to die. your fucking retarded if you dont.
Look at the pictures in my garage, I was in a pretty bad accident in the Saturn. I rear-ened someone at close to 50mph. Walked away with only a mild concussion, and (never confirmed) whiplash
Wearing seatbelts is a great idea that all should do.
FORCING us to wear seatbelts and trying to protect us from ourselves is unconstitutional and is outrageous.
Very few things upset me more than the seatbelt laws.
I don't think people should have to wear seat belts, and they don't. There isn't any kind of engine switch that keeps the engine from starting if you don't have your seat belt on.
Government has instilled this type of law to help cover the increased costs from medical services and other costs incurred from people not wearing seat belts.
Generally speaking seatbelts do save lives and injuries, however, it would eliminate a little bit of free will if we were TRULY forced to wear seat belts.
Now if I could just get the seatbelt warning in my car to turn off when I don't wear mine.
sadly as much as i see the ads and enforcing of it. I still lots of people not weraing their belts. I always see little kids not tied down and if you tell the person they get mad at you "dont tell me how to raise my kids"
