Did godzilla cheat on the ring?
No surprise there. All the recent production car tests show that the GTR is actually slower than it was made out to be. Even street races are not going well for the GTR, a regular LS7 Z06 waxed one 3 times in a row from both a roll and dig.
Oh, I almost forgot. This news will will help them to lower that 14% increase in the "cost of materials" for the car.
I wonder if Nissan used it, I never read where they did or didn't use it, so I wonder if they voided their own warranty to get those times.
Nissan bout to get ownd by Porsche, haha. And yes, the GT-R has been getting the !@#$% beat out of it on the streets. Z06, Terminator, even a TT350Z @ only 8psi!!!
Doesnt shock me, everyone called this when it happened. Really speaks highly of Nissan. Wheres that ricer guy who loves to bash domestics and praise this car. The dude with the avatar of himself standing up and his arms crossed, you know, the bad ass. hahaha
He'll come in here with some bs excuses... Although it is hard to argue with facts. But the ricer argument is not bound by logic, so I'm sure he'll be here soon enough.
^^^ Hahaha says the guy who drives a honda. I hope that was sarcasm. Why not cheat, it boosts sales in a whole sub-division of the company, and improves the performance image of the company as a whole.
but Nissan admited to the upgrades. everyone knows if it aint stock, ur ring time is worthless. i think people will still buy the GT-R, its only about 100 thousand dollars less,and people dont buy cars based on ring times.
Thats the shady part, they denied ever admitting to it after the fact, thus making themselves liars by omission.
I think Nissan did that just to sell GT-Rs WAY over-priced and make money. They basically sold out the GT-R name as that's why they refuse to call it Skyline.
they didn't cheat but they were dishonest about the state of the cars they used. even car and driver noticed completely different test results between the car that was supplied to them and one they got from a private party. all the cars they are sending out to testers and the tracks are not the same spec as production.
that is the beauty of computer tuning it looks stock but is it? and people that are spending this kind of money especially now are going to look at all of the facts figures and tests being run to spend this kind of cash..i'll never know though lol
hahaha so when u hear the spec v's time and it claims better than everything else. will know there lieing about that too. haha
@CamaroZach:
Oh yes... I remember him. The one that thought imports were better performance cars for the money than domestics.
He seemed to kind of disappear after I was done arguing with him. Hmmm...
I find this funny though. 12.3 at the track for the GT-R... it's just with in range of the GT500 and C6's to nail it.
$70,000 import < $55,000 domestics.
I know some people are more sensitive to the Ford vs. Chevy issue, but it's good to see birds of a feather bashing on domestics together.
@HotRodJ-Rod:
Basing on *imports I meant. Slight typo on my part. Sorry!
Lets all go out and buy a 55k car that wont make it past 5,000 miles on its first trans! Weeeeeeee!
Corvette you get what you pay for and then some, thats the most worthless comparison ive ever heard of.
Nissan Altima > Nissan GTR
Well, it doesnt matter.. who cares if my car stock is faster then ur stock car.. build that shit and then race them..
the gt-r doesnt have that much track time behind it as the corvette and porsche do.. so of course it wont have all the kinks worked out..
Nissan is a piece of shit. When you suck so bad at building cars that you have to LIE about track times to try and get people to buy your overpriced garbage, you know that its time to throw the towel in. GTR is nothing more than an overhyped, overweight, overpriced 350Z.
@CamaroZach:
A ricer bashing domestics?? I'd kick that mother fucker's ass so hard he's end up back in jap land. Stupid ricers, if you like jap crap so much then get out of this country.
