Hope she didn't have a heart condition. She was obviously in the wrong. I'd love to know more about the situation of course. The only issue I have is that it seems to me police are reluctant to physically restrain people these days. They always turn to the almighty taser. Meh. Oh well.

Here's my take: If he got physical with her, she probably would have fought back and broke a hip, the cop would be blamed for excessive force. So, cop hits granny with a few thousand volts, takes the fight out of her, and she doesn't break anything.

I call this a good decision on the officer's part. Either way the old biddy would take him to court. At least the old bitch got to ride the lightning. Wink

I watched this on the news and it was funny then. She was warned 9 times......She mustve thought she was exempt cuz of her age

She reaped what she sowed their. She probably thought she could do whatever she wanted since she was an old lady... then she got a few thousand volt reality check.

She got what she deserved. Using a taser is a lot less likely to hurt you than a cop putting her down physically. Yeah it's a lot of volts and will probably leave a burn but it's low amperage which is the part of electricity that kills you. She was warned multiple times and she didn't listen.
