It took 40 years, but this Big-Three rematch is almost as good as the original.
The low on the Camaro is it "Looks Angry"?! Who in the hell did the testing, some nancy-boy from Long Beach?! WTF?
As it's C&D, I'm surprised that a BMW didn't somehow win even though it wasn't one of the contestants.
i like the looks of the camaro better than the mustang and i have a mustang....i like the angry look. the mustang looks like a nerd with the 4 eyes..
ya i read the article the other day , the reasons they put the mustang on tp where very slight. Personally i think the Camaro is #1
@_chipsahoy_: haha I thought the SAME thing...
car and driver is gay. I dont care if the Camaro got last place, thats fine. I dont believe they said looking mean is a low point haha. Did they have a Nun write the review?
if u read the article the camaro beats it in the 1/4 mile and is quicker which its a muscle car who care on how hard the seats are its all about go go go
Did Car and Driver hire a high school freshman to write this?
A tiny mustang fuel tank is not a low, it means less weight. Aggressive looks on a Camaro is not a low, its a must.
Didn't some other magazine do the same comparison with the same 3 cars a few months ago? I can't remember who it was for sure, I just remember the Camaro came out on top.
I wonder why ford came out with a new mustang with the current style only being 5 yrs old. maybe because when the camaro was scheduled to come out they scrambled and made something quick to try to compete????? we be hearing about the camaro for years before it launch and it was only last year that we heard of the new "my little pony". they couldn't get there 5.0 engine out with it. its whatever
@Deadzone: Especially considering that the new V6 Camaro is pushing 300HP. Oh, and it still gets 29 mpg on the highway. Let's not forget the SS models that will run 12's. Stock
2009 Dodge Challenger R/T - Comparison Test
The Verdict: The most authentic ’60s re-spin of them all.
For a car that was first introduced as a 1970 yr model too...
I really couldn't care less about what a writer for either mag thinks. The only two multibrand mags that matter are Hot Rod and Car Craft. The real battle will never be settled but it will be fought weekly at drag strips and stop lights across the country, same as the originals.
