KrisXpc's Quick Bio

From Houston Texas, Currently serving in the Navy in San Diego!

My first ride was a 3.8 Camaro M5. Great car, only problem was my parents did not support moding the car. A few years of patience and exploring local car clubs I finally found my Black Z28 I drive now.

I wanted a Black WS6 6 speed when i went looking. Fate has it that i walked into the local grocery store right as the Auto trader guy was ploping a fresh set of mags down. Opened it up and found a Black Z28, loaded with the optional gu5 package from a local, for the listed price of 6700. Ive only known 1 other person to find a LS1 F-body for under 6 K and his had been wrecked and had a salvage title (This was in (2006).. So I assumed something had to be wrong with it... I gave the number a call and i was the first person to call. The man had a thick accent and was trying to explain to me the car had 71,000 miles on it and it was "Very fast, Very fun" I played the "I dont know anything about cars" when i finally met up with the guy. He explained to me it had a big american engine that never breaks.. ( I couldn't help but giggle)

He explained the car was his girlfriends and she almost lost controll of the car on the highway when it was raining and she wanted to sell it. (Gas was also $3.10)

I told the guy i would give him $5,000 cash right then if he was willing (Car fax was 100% clean)

He declined and finally told me $5,400.. for a decent mile Ls1 F-body... I could not believe it when I drove this baby home... Steal of the century.. If you ask me.

I got my baby on valentines day 06' What a day =]

Update:

My baby recieved the cam only treatment with a big 4,000 Stall. The LS1 was tired and spun a rod bearing.

After my 2007-2008 deployment to IRAQ.(sucked..)

I was fucked into a shitty deal. I paid A local and trusted shop over $11,000 to build me A LSX 440CI: Nitrous motor with A 9" rear.

Fate has it I didnt get the 440, Instead I was built a Low comp 370 CI. not to bad, but not what I paid for..

The car was Painted and the 370 was laid to rest in its new home. The A4 was swapped for A T56.

The day the car was finished, I moved across the country from Jacksonville FL to San Diego California. There in San Diego I bought and installed my F1 procharger.

A Year after I came home from Iraq, and my car is just a few fuel lines and a Tune away from the 700 hp DD ive always dreamed I would own.

From growing up in the street scene in Houston Texas (Birth place of fast street F-bodies IMHO) to Jacksonville, to now San DIego. It's been a ride.

Im Kris Henderson, and I love cars more than almost anything!
